AdAsia offers a much-needed bridge between marketing and technology. These two cannot be separated any more. Marketers who read AdAsia will become more familiar with all the new stuff that’s out there; they can’t afford not to.
The long story
AdAsia looks in new directions, We offer a clear point of view and an entertaining way of bringing it across. After all, what’s life without entertainment?
Marketing is undergoing rapid and drastic changes. The dominant focus on branding dating from the Mad Men era lies behind us now; customer (or consumer) focus is taking over. Branding remains very important but instead of the product, the customer is now taking centre stage. “Did you know my product is really good for you?” makes way for “Who are you, and how can I best be of service to you?”
The consequences are legion. Customer Experience becomes paramount; relevance is a must; empowering your customers and putting them in charge is the way to go.
And then there’s technology. Getting it right and staying relevant to millions of customers cannot be done by hand. Marketers are becoming technology buyers. Soon, as a marketer you’ll need to know your tech or you won’t get ahead in life. That’s not easy in a day and age in which technology develops razor-fast, and one platform after the other presents itself as the must have tool for the modern marketer.
