The biennial advertising festival AdAsia organised by the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations is back in India this year.

AdAsia, no connection to this magazine, had a triumphant show last time it was held in Jaipur, India and the organisers produced a memorable show that included a game of elephant polo.

This year, we are assured, the India’s organisers will top this with attractions like a recreated old street market, Bollywood stars mingling with the delegates, a trip to the film studios and displays by dance troupes.

The date is 31st October to 3rd November and it will be held in The Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi.

There are some heavyweight speakers including Indra Nooyi, Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, David Droga, the well-known creative man, Michael Roth, Chairman and CEO of Interpublic, Robert Senior, CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi EMEA, Thirasak Tanapatanakul, Worldwide Chairman of Creative Juice, Irfan Mustafa who is a top guy in Yum! Brands Inc. and, as a break from the ad and marketing people the organisers have added Swami Sukhabodhananda, founder of the Prasanna Trust.

It may be a busy time but treat yourself to this break. Your local 4As is probably organising for a local delegation.
