The Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness Awards (AME) have been announced in New York. The Grand Jury presented the prestigious AME Grand Award and Regional Platinum Awards/Europe to DDB Tribal Germany. Twenty seven countries entered and from this work 17 Gold AME Awards, 20 Silver and 23 Bronze Awards were given out. PHD China earned the Platinum AME Award/Asia Pacific for “Dive into Love” created for Cornetto. Celebrity-focused campaigns featured highly this year as in other shows. DDB Hong Kong’s “McDonald’s Chinese New Year McGreeting” featuring the two comedians Soft Hard won 2 Gold AME Awards and 3 Silver.

The AME awards were founded in 1994 to reward “ground breaking work to challenging marketing problems.”
