The Financial Times and the Institute on Asian Consumer Insight (ACI) partnered to present the Asia Business Summit held recently at the InterContinental Hotel in Singapore. Co-chaired by David Pilling, Asia Editor of the Financial Times and the irrepressible Bernd Schmitt, Executive Director of ACI, the day-long event proved to be a delightful smorgasbord of senior-level speakers and informed panels. For those in the advertising field, it was interesting to see Mike Wiluan, Chief Executive of Infinite Studios, a leading film production company in Singapore/Indonesia sitting alongside his father, Kris Wiluan and hear how they built up their businesses. The women speakers and panellists proved to be particularly smart, articulate. If you did not attend this year, do make a point of getting a seat in 2014 for this annual event.
