Gaines joins Edentify
David Gaines has been appointed Managing Partner in the Australian research agency, Edentify. He moves from Maxus where he was CEO. Prior to setting up and running the Maxus media agency, Gaines held senior strategy and planning positions in both Australia and the UK. He is current Head of The Media Federation of Australia’s (MFA) Digital committee.
OMD Malaysia adds Associate Digital Director
Yogeswaran Bala has been appointed Associate Digital Director at OMD Malaysia. He joins OMD from Zenith Media where he was Business Director (Digital Media and Innovation) working on accounts such as Celcom, Maybank, Petronas, Tourism Malaysia and others.
New creative chief at TBWA Malaysia
Sa’ad Hussein has been promoted to Chief Creative Officer and Executive Director of the TBWA Group in Malaysia which includes TBWAKuala Lumpur and Creative JuiceKuala Lumpur. He moves up from his previous role of Managing Director and Executive Creative Director of the Creative Juice office. He take over from Jeff Orr who steps down in September but remains a consultant to TBWA in the region. Hussein has had 24 years experience in the ad business and won at several prestigious creative shows.
Momentum China appoints Johansen
Momentum, the brand activation arm of McCann Worldgroup, has appointed Jacob Johansen as General Manager for Momentum Greater China. He will be based in Shanghai. Johansen moves from UK agency Leagas Delaney which he helped launch in Shanghai as Managing Partner in 2009. His earlier career experience covers advertising, design, digital and marketing and he has held positions in DMG and Tequila/TBWA.
Clear Channel Singapore adds to sales team
Clear Channel Singapore has added four more to its sales team. Zheng Leyi has moved from Moove Media to become Account Manager. Simon See joins as Senior Account Manager, he was previously Assistant Vice President for Sales at VIP Magazine. Also joining is Gordon Yong as Senior Account Manager. He moves from MediaCorp where he was Associate Account Director in the Integrated Account Management team. Michelle Ong also spent seven years at MediaCorp in the same team. She takes on the role of Account Director at Clear Channel.
