Spreading from Australia to Singapore is AWARD School. This is recognised as one of the best training programmes for aspiring creative whether writers or art directors. Some of the leading creative guys heading departments today started a few years back in the Australia AWARD School.

To even get on this training course there is a selection process.

The programme in Singapore was headed by Tay Guan Hin, Regional ECD of JWT Southeast Asia, a man who is often on jury panels and has decorated himself with many awards. Tutors from Grey, R/GA, TBWA and Young & Rubicam gave their time each week to help the student develop over the 16 week course. Guest speakers like Linda Locke, Steve Back, Jonathan Teo, Kevin Pereira, Douglas Goh and others came forward to add their expertise.

Tay said, “This year’s award school has been tremendously successful. There were less students as we were more selective. I’m extremely impressed with the overall standard of their final graduation submission.”
