Over 8,000 respondents were interviewed in Asia with 1,000 from Singapore. Research company, Synovate conducted the survey on behalf of Reader’s Digest.

Christopher Axberg, Managing Director of Reader’s Digest Asia said, “More companies in Asia are realising the significance of establishing brand loyalty, which has resulted in better product and service quality, The customer will be prepared to pay for a product when he or she knows that the company offers value for money.”

A Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Award is warmly welcomed by manufacturers and distributors and is often used in advertising.

One sad result emerged: only 48% of Singapore respondents considered it very important for a trusted brand to carry out environmental action. This was well below the average of the rest of Asia of 62%.
