The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)Council held its annual awards for branding and marketing in Asia recently at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. There were 415 entries from 25 countries, an increase on last year.
The entries are judged on (a) Mind Share, which indicates a brand’s strength inside the minds of the consumers of the respective product category, (b) Market Share, which shows a brand’s strength in certain market in terms of consumers’ actual buying behaviour and (c) Commitment Share, which indicates a brand’s strength in encouraging consumers to buy that brand in future.
The jury for the 2013 awards were: Dave Porter, Global Chairman of World Brand Congress; Dr Prasad Medury, Partner of Amrop International; Andrew Kelly, Chairman & Chief Patron of CMO Asia; Dr Harish Mehta, Chairman and MD Onward Technologies Limited and Founder, Onward Foundation; Emeritus Chairman – World HRD Congress & Founder Member – NASSCOM; Michael Wong, Chairman of Thought Leaders International; Rajesh Kumar, Head of Marketing (Indian Sub Continent), SAP India; Dr R L Bhatia, Founder, World CSR Day and World CSR Congress; Dr Sanjay Muthal, Chairman of NuGrid Consulting; Jonathan Peters, Founder of Stars of the Industry Group; Dr Indira Parikh, President of Foundation for Liberal and Management Education; Dr Saugata Mitra, Chief People Officer & Group Head HR of Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt Ltd; and Arun Arora, Chairman of eDvance Learning.
