This magazine was once considered to hot for Singapore and was banned in 1984. Maybe the Cosmopolitan magazine is less controversial these days or society has moved on. International editions were allowed in to the Republic by 2004.

The good news is that APC Magazines partnering with Hearst Magazine to publish this outspoken women’s magazine in Singapore. Deborah Tan has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, which will speak to women, aged 21 to 35, with a primary audience of 24 to 29 year-olds.

The debut issue of the Singapore edition will appear on 11th August. The run will be 40,000 with a cover price of S$5.00.
