Roll and Kim join Burson-Marsteller
Global public relations firm, Burson-Marsteller, have appointed Martin Roll and Hoh Kim as Senior Advisers to the firm’s Global Strategy Team.
Martin Roll, author of Asian Brand Strategy, is a well-known figure in Singapore and a recognised expert on strategy and branding. He has lectured at INSEAD, Nanyang Business School and other institutions as well as speaking at seminars.
Hoh Kim is considered an expert in crisis communications and has provided guidance and counsel to Asian and global multinationals.
Hailing from Korea, Kim is a regular commentator and columnist for leading Korean business publications. He is the founder of THE LAB h, a Korean consultancy that provides leadership communication to senior executives and government officials. He is a former Managing Director of Edelman in Korea as well a published author.
OMD gets new Word
OMD has appointed Paul Gilbert as National Director in Australia of its social media group OMD Word. Gilbert moves from social media start-up agency, We Manage Social. He also held the position of Head of Digital at Hyro Digital Media and Head of New Media at IMG World.
All in all Gilbert has had 11 years experience in digital and new media.
He will be based in Sydney and report to Alistair Henderson.
Also joining OMD Word is Grace Gordon. She takes on the role of Social Media Strategist and will be based in Melbourne. She moves from Soap Creative.
Stafford promoted to CEO, Burson-Marsteller HK
Matt Stafford has been appointed CEO and Market Leader in Burson-Marsteller Hong Kong. Stafford has 14 years experience in the public relations field. He rejoined Burson Masteller Hong Kong in 2007 after five years as the Australian Government’s senior policy advisor on communications. Stafford was the lead advisor for the development and implementation of sweeping regulatory reforms in the industry.
New CEO for Burson-Marsteller, Aus
Christine Jones has succeeded Brian West as Chief Executive Officer and Market Leader of Burson-Marsteller. Jones has worked with Burson-Marsteller from 2004 to 2007 in the Singapore office and re-joined the company in July 2010. In between, she worked for Roche Pharmaceuticals. During her career of more than 25 years, Jones has had roles in Australia, Europe and Asia.
Pooley joins RedWorks
Ogilvy veteran Shayne Pooley has returned to Singapore as Executive Creative Director of RedWorks Singapore. He moves from OgilvyOne Hong Kong.
Pooley first joined the company in 1995 in Melbourne and has won a number of awards in his career in the One Show, Cannes, London International Awards, New York Festivals, AdFest etc.
Lonsdale moves to join Saatchi in Sydney
Saatchi & Saatchi Australia CEO, Michael Rebelo, has lured Jason Lonsdale from Canadian creative hot shop, Taxi which he joined in early 2011. Rebelo worked with Lonsdale in London. Lonsdale’s role in Sydney office is Executive Planning Director which he takes up on 1st February. He started his career in Australia at Colenso BBDO.
