The Epica Awards were created in 1987. Last year, it expanded from an exclusive European competition into a global event. What singles the Epica Awards from the others is the fact that the awards are judged by journalists from 41 specialist trade titles and websites (including AdAsia). Thirty-four countries will be represented on the jury this year. This unique jury guarantees objectivity (as well as widespread coverage of the winners!). These editorial people probably see more work and are more aware of trends and developments than the average overworked advertising professional.
The closing date for entries is 30th September and the full results will be announced at the end of November. The ceremony and creative conference will take place in Mumbai on 24th January 2014.
The event will be hosted by Epica’s local partner exchangeformedia, Publisher of ‘Pitch’, ‘Impact’, ‘Franchise Plus’, ‘Realty Plus’ and ‘exchange4media’.
