Experian Hitwise has been analysing data obtained after the launch of Google+ from within key Asia-Pacific markets.

In terms of popularity, the new Google+ from the week ending 16th July showed Singapore capturing the highest ranking, followed by India. Hong Kong was the lowest. See below chart for all five markets.

In a comparison of share of visits by country in the Social Networking and Forums category, Google+ in Singapore enjoyed a continued rate of adoption. It ranked 6th with a visit share of 1.2% at its peak for the most recent week ending 27th August. It is the only country with sustained growth in visits after the beta launch. The local popularity of Google+ has been driven by the dominance of Google in Singapore.

In Hong Kong, the adoption of Google+ seems slower than in other countries.
