Liu joins Mediabrands
Aloun Liu has joined Mediabrands as Regional Master Data Steward, Asia Pacific. He will be based in the Singapore office and be responsible for maintaining and improving Mediabrands’ data collection and analysis throughout the region. Liu was previously Senior Programmer Analyst, Finance MIS at Charles Schwab & Co Inc. He has also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and started his career in the University of California as a database administrator/developer.
Khoo moves to NetApp
NetApp has appointed Andy Khoo as Country Manager for Malaysia and Brunei. Khoo joins the storage and data management solutions provider from EMC where he was Product Manager. He has also worked for Microsoft as Regional Director on product development.
Top tech lead for TequilaDigital Singapore
TequilaDigital has appointed Takanori Iseki as the agency’s Technical Lead. A Japanese national with extensive experience in software, game and mobile application development, Takanori has travelled between Australia, Tokyo and Singapore for the past eight years. He will also be asked to mentor the young talent in the agency.
“In our aim to be the region’s top digital agency, Takanori joins the agency at an exciting time in our development. His experience helps us add another important answer to the ongoing digital question for our clients,” said Brent Farrell, TequilaDigital’s Managing Director.
Senior appointments at Anthem
Sarah Chew has been appointed Client Services Director at Anthem Worldwide’s Singapore office. She joins from LloydNorthover Yeang where she had a similar role. Chew has had more than ten years experience in advertising and branding working with clients such as Procter & Gamble, Hewlett-Packard and Singapore Telecommunications. She has previously worked at Bonsey Design and Leo Burnett.
Also joining the Singapore office is Zulkarnian Hassan (Zul) who takes on the role of Design Director. Hassan moves from Design Bridge Asia where he headed the design team. He has also had senior positions in Bonsey Design Partnership and DIA Brand Consultants. His past clients include Unilever, Asia Pacific Breweries and Nestle.
Pinfold joins BBDO/Proximity Singapore
BBDO/Proximity Singapore has hired Elizabeth Pinfold as Head of CRM Strategy. Pinfold is a specialist in CRM strategy and data management with experience across the travel, telecommunications, entertainment and automotive industries. She started her career in New Zealand working on the BMW business. She worked in London with Orbitz Worldwide on digital CRM strategy and insights for the UK and Europe before moving to Singapore.
Leo Burnett Singapore adds four creatives
Steve Kyriakou joins the agency from McCann Erickson Singapore as a Senior Copywriter. Kyriakou has worked at Euro RSCG and Saatchi & Saatchi Toronto.
Also moving from McCann Erickson is Copywriter Colin Koh. He has worked on accounts such as MasterCard, L’Oreal and KFC.
Jae Soh has moved from Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore where he handled clients which included HP, Guinness, UOB and Singapore Zoo.
From digital agency Yolk comes Henry Soon as Digital Art Director. He has worked on projects for clients such as Canon, Microsoft, Kaplan, and DIGI Malaysia.
New Senior Strategy Director for Wunderman Shanghai
Catherine Hornby has joined Wunderman Shanghai as Senior Strategy Director. She moves from Wunderman in the UK where she was involved in the launch of the UK agency’s social media initiative. She was with Wunderman for four years. Prior to that, Hornby had worked in television and handled clients such as Nokia, Ford, Microsoft and Orient Express Hotels.
Wee returns to TBWASingapore
June Wee has returned to TBWA Singapore as Account Director after six years absence. She worked in various areas of communication including a two year stint with TBWAChiatDay in New York. Wee will be handling adidas, Corona and property client Asia Square. She moves from Arc Singapore where she was also an Account Director.
Morris joined MBA
MediaCom is launching MediaCom Beyond Advertising across Europe, Middle East and Asia. James Morris has been appointed Head of MBA in EMEA. He was previously Director of Digital Strategy at TwoFour which was named UK Production Company of the Year in 2010 by Broadcast Magazine. At TwoFour, Morris led digital campaigns for VW, Audi, HBO and GSK. MBA plans to invest in new staff for this new service. All this expansion is under the GroupM and WPP control.
