The Forbes CEO Conference was launched in 2001 in Singapore, the brainchild of William Adamopoulos who is now the President and Publisher of Forbes Asia. The event attracts the top leaders in industry from around the world and has senior political leaders happy to address an audience which probably has a net worth greater than many countries.

After a few years, the event slipped away from Singapore and has been held in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur and Sydney. It has now been announced that in 2013, after Dubai hosts the event in the coming year, Forbes Global CEO Conference will be held in Indonesia.

Our editor has attended three or four past sessions and said, once he got over feeling intimidated by the sheer wealth of the people in the room, he found the life and business experiences, wide knowledge and insights communicated by the speakers and other participants extremely valuable.

This Conference is a must for senior executives. If you cannot get to Dubai in October 2012, start planning the trip to Indonesia.
