Getty Images has launched a music video remix competition. Titled Mishmash, this competition will help to inspire creative people, wherever located, to produce a short video. Getty’s content will be made available. That means more than 825,000 commercial quality video clips as well as an extensive music catalogue. There are three categories: short story, music video or video art. Entries must be between one and three minutes long. Once completed the films can be uploaded onto the Mishmash website for people to view, ahead of the jury’s deliberations. The competition runs across three regions, one of which is Asia Pacific. A global prize of US$5,000 will be awarded as well as US$2,000 for a regional win. There will also be a US$1,000 Apple voucher for the best entry from Southeast Asia.
