The quarterly Hudson’s Reports offer useful insights into the economy. The recruitment specialist has just released ‘The Hudson Report’ for Asia covering Q3.

Top of line data says the majority of respondents forecast a headcount growth with China being the most confident at 72% (slightly less than in Q2). Just 56% were as confident in Singapore.

Employers say cultural fit is the most important attribute when hiring new managers. There is a an interesting contrast between Hong Kong and China. In the former, manages tend to stay longer, in the latter they are most likely to leave within a year.

The most significant reason for managers leaving early in Singapore is that the role is not up to expectations.
