Dwayne Koh, a digital specialist recently joined the team in Shanghai as Group Creative Director for Tequila. Koh has worked for Wieden + Kennedy, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy Beijing and AKQA in Singapore and China.

Also joining the agency as Digital Experience Strategy Director is KaKi Law, a graduate fom New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Programme.

Steven Watson has been appointed Director of Digital Strategy at Tequila Singapore office. He moves from adidas where he was Head of Digital Strategy. He has had previous agency experience and worked on brands such as Nokia and SAAB. Watson has also worked in London and Amsterdam.

Synovate appoints new head in China

Custom market research company, Synovate, has appointed Darlene Lee as Managing Director of Retail and Lifestyle research for the company in Greater China. Prior to joining Synovate, Lee was Vice President Marketing and Communications at TNS based in New York. She brings more than 20 years of experience in Asia and the USA, starting her career in Taiwan where she became the Managing Director of TNS Taiwan and later Head of Customised Research for TNS Greater China.

New editor for Lianhe Zaobao

Goh Sin Teck has been promoted to Editor of Singapore’s Chinese daily Lianhe Zaobao. He started on the newspaper as a crime reporter. He worked his way up to be Deputy Editor of Lianhe Zaobao and the Consulting Editor of My Paper, the bilingual free sheet. Both pubications are produced by Singapore Press Holdings. Former editor, Lim Jim Koon, has at 62, has taken on the role of Editorial Advisor.

New MD for TNS Thailand

Abhijeet Dutta Ray has moved from Lowe and Partners where he was Chief Strategy Officer to TNS Thailand where he takes up the post of Managing Director. Over the years he has worked at JWT, Leo Burnett, Bates, BBDO and McCann Erickson and been involved with brand categories in banking, airlines, telecoms, skincare and others.
