His 19 years of experience has covered stints in Coca-Cola, Nielsen, BBDO, Lowe and Leo Burnett. As a planner he has won awards at Cannes, AdFest, Spikes and Effies.

New Head of Sales Indonesia for Perform

Dhemy Larasati has been appointed Head of Sales in Indonesia by digital sports media company Perform. She will help grow Goal, the football media brand. Larasati was previously with Networks where she held a number of senior positions in sales, marketing and management.

Nichola Rastrick

Promotion for Rastrick

Research company Millward Brown has appointed Nichola Rastrick to succeed Gonzalo Fuentes, who has moved with the company to South America, as Managing Director of Southeast Asia. Rastrick is currently Managing Director of Millward Brown Singapore, leading the company since 2008. Priti Mehra will step up as Managing Director of the Singapore office.

New Talent Director for Ogilvy PR

Michelle Ang has been appointed Talent Director in Singapore for Ogilvy Public Relations. Her role will be to attract, engage, reward and retain the firm’s talent. Ang joined Ogilvy in 2006 after a journalistic career in Singapore Press Holding and MediaCorp in Singapore.

OMD promotes Wong
Gary Wong has been promoted to General Manager at OMD Hong Kong. He re-joined the agency in 2011 as Business Director helping to manage accounts such as Estee Lauder, Johnson & Johnson and Carlsberg. Wong has over 20 years’ experience in the industry working with clients in banking, telecommunications, retail and IT.

Key changes at O&M Singapore
Shirley Tay has been promoted to Managing Director at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Singapore. She joined the agency in 2000 and was made Managing Partner in 2012.

Giri Jadhav, Chief Operating Officer at the agency, will take on an expanded role, taking responsibility for RedWorks, the delivery and production arm of Ogilvy. The Asia hub is in Singapore.

MRops appoints new Project Director

Global market research company MRops has moved into new offices and taken on board Gail Tran as Project Director. Tran started her career in the UK with GfK NOP and arrived in Asia in 2006 to work for Cimigo. She speaks English, Vietnamese and Cantonese.

Charlie Newbery

Head of Media for Red Fuse

Charlie Newbery has been appointed Head of Media Asia for Red Fuse Communications. Red Fuse is the WPP agency dedicated to serving all of Colgate-Palmolive brands worldwide. Newbery joins the agency from Starcom EMEA in Dubai where he was global media lead on Emirates Airlines as well as working on Kraft/Mondelez and GSK. Prior to that, Newbery was with MediaCom and UM in London. He also worked for News International helping to rebrand and re-launch ‘The Sunday Times’. He will be based in Hong Kong.

Bite promotes senior staff

Karen Coleman who was Group Director for Bite Australia has been promoted to General Manager. Coleman joined the agency in 2007 as a consultant and has risen steadily through the organisation.

Rosemary Mertz who was also a Group Director becomes the General Manager of the Hong Kong office, the largest in the region. Both will report to Paul Mottram, EVP Asia Pacific.

Din Sumedi

Sumedi rejoins Ogilvy Indonesia

Hailing originally from Singapore, Din Sumedi has had sixteen years of experience in advertising. He was Creative Director at Ogilvy when he left to join Lowe Indonesia where he has been for the past six years. He now rejoins Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia as Creative Lead, heading the agency’s creative teams across all its specialist units.

Appointments and promotions at Neo@Ogilvy HK

Neo@Ogilvy, the global media agency and performance marketing network, has made some hires and changes in the Hong Kong office. Jean Thomas has joined as Search Director. He joins from travel search engine in Singapore. He was formerly based in Hong Kong as Digital Media Director at Beyond Media Global. Vincent So has been recruited as Associate Media Director to build the agency’s programmatic and RTB capabilities. He has a wealth of experience from his stints at Xaxis, MIG and Brandscreen.

Also joining Neo@Ogilvy is Jason Wong as Search and Media Planner, Kin Lai as Senior Media Manager and Karen Clarke Ng has been promoted to Social and Affiliate Performance Manager.
