While some write off the print publishing industry, figures do show there still is growth. The Asian Publishing Convention is to be held in Singapore this year on 14th and 15th August. The show offers a string of speakers, workshops and even pre-conference workshops by The Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA). Presentations will be given by Chris Fodor, Founder of Go magazine; David Tay, Consultant to The Brunei Times; Allein Moore, Publisher of AdAsia; June Oei, VP and Managing Director of Pearson Education; Steve Garton, Global Head of Media company, Synovate; and many others. The Chairman of MediaCorp, Ho Kwon Ping, will be the guest of honour and give out the Asian Publishing Awards at the gala dinner.
