There is a 113.6% increase in placements for jobs in the digital sector in Singapore compared to the same period last year. This is data from Ambition, a global boutique recruitment business. The company specialises in the banking, finance, sales & marketing and technology sectors.
Paul Endacott, Managing Director of Ambition, said Singapore’s goal to be the No. 1 technology hub in the Asia Pacific region has been widely publicised and there is a desire to become a place where interactive and digital media, which includes video games, animation and other forms of digital entertainment are created for the world market. “We have also seen high profile social media companies like career networking website LinkedIn and social networking site Facebook making Singapore their destination of choice for their Asian headquarters,” he added.
The Ambition office in Hong Kong has released data which shows Hong Kong is leaking talent to Singapore. Year-on-year data for January to May showed a 58% increase in candidates expressing interest in relocating from Hong Kong to Singapore. Click on image to download report.
