Just a few days before Teachers’ Day, an advertisement ran in the Singapore main daily newspaper inviting students to cut out a Teachers’ Day coupon and send it to their favourite teacher. This creative idea tickled the judges into making this advertisement the Grand Prix Winner in a Singapore show.
Each year, Singapore Press Holdings reward what the judges consider to be the best advertising to run within the SPH publications. To qualify this year, the ads had to run between 1st June 2010 and 31st May 2011.
UP BrandBuzz and Maxus Communications Singapore created Grand Prix winner and each received $8,000 in cash while the client MOE was awarded a free full-page advertisement in The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao.
There were a total of 291 advertisements entered in The Ink Award 2011.
