Allein Moore – International Editor
Only a few people in the Singapore advertising scene have earned the title of ‘guru’ and Allein Moore continues to be one of the more prominent and active members of that community.
Starting his career in London, Allein went on to win many creative awards as an art director and copywriter. Moving to Singapore in 1979, he worked for several international ad agencies as Creative Director creating campaigns for brands such as Singapore Airlines, UOB, DBS, Qantas, Singapore Tourism Board, Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Nestlé and many others.
Allein established AdAsia magazine in 2000. The magazine went on to win the Society of Publishers In Asia (SOPA) Award for ‘Best Trade Magazine’. A year or two later, Allein’s other publication Designer magazine went on to win another award for ‘Best Magazine Design’ from SOPA.
He was an early adopter of online communications and nursed AdAsia magazine through its complete transformation to a digital publication.
Allein is regularly asked to judge shows such as the Magazine Publishers Association awards, Singapore Book Publishers Awards, and Singapore Advertising EFFIES and has conducted classes locally at IAS, MIS, NUS, MDIS, SIM, well as S.E. University, Bangladesh and Syracuse University, NY.
He was a founder of the Singapore Creative Awards in the 1980’s and was Chairman for two years. In 2005, the 4As honoured him as ‘Champion of the Creative Circle’. Allein also initiated the Designers Association of Singapore and served as President for four years. In 2015, he was presented the Singapore Design Jubilee Award for his services to the industry.
