A short book, only 102 pages, but a useful one for anyone who wants to build a reputation. Grant Butler doesn’t claim to have invented the term “thought leader” but the sub-title of this book is “How to become a Thought Leader”. You will be led page by page to discover how you can become a recognised leader in your field. Butler is speaking to people who already have expertise or experience but are not capitalising on it. He himself heads one of Australia’s top corporate writing firms and so he spends some time telling the reader the nuts and bolts of writing in a manner which will enhance one’s reputation. He suggests how speeches, articles and blogs can turn you into a thought leader. Follow his advice and you will find yourself in demand within your professional circle.
