Pushing children to study at a very early age has become so prevalent in Singapore that the Prime Minister himself had to tell parent to give children a chance to play.
It seems matters are just as bad in Hong Kong. Kymechow Communications has launched a campaign on behalf of The Edge, a learning centre, on how not to drive their children to achieve academic success. The agency created a series of clips featuring a “tiger mum” from hell. She suggests some rather dubious ways to get her child to study harder. These run contrary to the methods used by The Edge.
The client and the agency hope this humorous approach to make the point will resonate with mothers and students.
